Advanced skills in Altium Designer for 2nd year engineering students

24/02/2024

In this session, the mentor is Abderrahim Meksi, a 3rd year EE student. This session was aimed for another group of second-year engineering students from EE, ME, and CS. The session commenced with a detailed explanation of the schematic diagram of a TCRT5000 Line Follower Module. This introduction aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the module's internal architecture and circuitry. Following this theoretical overview, we transitioned to a practical demonstration, guiding students through the process of designing the circuit using Altium Designer. By engaging in this hands-on activity, students were able to apply their theoretical knowledge to create tangible PCB layouts. This dual approach of theoretical explanation and practical application ensured that students gained valuable insights and skills essential for their engineering journey.
